The earliest ancient African civilization was civilized, peaceful and grew up along the banks of the Nile River. Great value is placed upon the oral traditions in our ancient African civilizations.

Reflection:

In the Eurocentric worldview great emphasis is placed upon the importance of writing and less on the oral traditions. Why do you think this is?
